The Bronx Museum of the Arts presents "Saya Woolfalk: The Woods Woman Method" from October 9, 2026. Admission is free.
Woolfalk applies her Woods Woman project, built around a healer figure who grows out of the landscape, to the museum's own collection. She selected works about speculative worlds, the cosmos, the bond between people and nature and the role of shared stories in building community, and shows them next to her own process materials.
The show is also a laboratory for a new commission: Woolfalk is creating the inaugural installation for the museum's renovated building, supported by VIA Art Fund. During the run she will lead workshops with the museum's education department.
Woolfalk completed the museum's AIM Fellowship in 2009. The exhibition is co-curated with Eileen Jeng Lynch, the museum's director of curatorial programs.
