Accessibility Statement
Key Disclosures
- intendle is working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA as its web-accessibility target.
- intendle does not claim full conformance.
- Users may report an accessibility barrier by email or through the Help Center and should identify the page, task, device, browser, and assistive technology involved where possible.
- intendle will provide a reasonable alternative way to access information or complete a task where practicable while a barrier is being addressed.
- Third-party payment, email, browser, and external-merchant services may have separate accessibility practices.
1. Commitment
intendle is committed to making its website and services usable by people with disabilities. intendle's current target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
The Services are operated by intendle ("intendle," "we," "us," or "our"). The operator's registered legal details are available on request via legal@intendle.com.
Accessibility is an ongoing engineering, content, editorial, and support responsibility. This Statement does not claim that every page or third-party component already conforms fully.
2. Current Conformance Status
Current status: intendle is working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA and does not yet claim full conformance. Most recent formal audit date: No independent accessibility audit has been carried out yet. Audit scope and method: No independent accessibility audit has been carried out yet. Accessibility is currently checked internally during development.
Until the audit is complete, the public wording should state that intendle is working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA rather than stating that intendle fully conforms.
3. Accessibility Practices
The intendle design and development standard should address, at minimum:
- semantic page structure and meaningful headings;
- keyboard access to interactive functions;
- visible keyboard focus;
- sufficient text and interface contrast;
- text resizing and responsive reflow;
- accessible labels, instructions, errors, and status messages for forms;
- alternatives for meaningful images;
- descriptive link and button names;
- accessible dialogs, menus, carousels, filters, tables, and pagination;
- avoidance or control of flashing, unexpected motion, and time limits;
- captions, transcripts, or alternatives for time-based media where such media is offered;
- clear language and predictable navigation;
- accessibility of authentication, verification, checkout, consent, cancellation, return, and appeal paths; and
- testing with representative browsers, devices, screen readers, magnification, voice input, and keyboard-only navigation.
4. User-Generated Content
Users are responsible for providing accurate descriptions and accessible information for their content where the platform offers relevant fields. intendle may provide prompts for alternative text, captions, or descriptions.
intendle cannot guarantee that every user-submitted image, book file, artwork description, or external document is fully accessible. intendle may improve surrounding labels, require certain metadata, or restrict content that creates a serious accessibility or safety barrier where a reasonable correction is available.
5. Digital Books and Documents
A Seller should disclose the format and material compatibility of a digital book. Where accessibility metadata is supported, the Seller must use it accurately and must not claim screen-reader, reflow, caption, navigation, or other accessibility support that the file does not provide.
PDF and EPUB
6. Third-Party Components
Stripe payment components, browsers, operating systems, email clients, external book merchants, carriers, and other independent services may have their own accessibility features and limitations. intendle will select and configure third-party components with accessibility in mind where reasonably possible, but intendle does not control an independent service's entire environment.
A barrier in an embedded or linked third-party component should still be reported so that intendle can investigate, provide an alternative where practicable, and communicate with the provider.
7. Feedback and Assistance
To report an accessibility barrier or request assistance, contact:
- Email: support@intendle.com
- Legal and policy contact: legal@intendle.com
- Help Center: https://intendle.com/help/
Please include, where possible:
- the page URL;
- the task you were trying to complete;
- a description of the barrier;
- browser, device, and operating system;
- assistive technology and version;
- the date and time; and
- a preferred contact method.
Do not include a password, full payment-card number, or unnecessary sensitive information.
8. Response and Alternative Access
Acknowledgment target: within two to five hours Substantive response target: within 24 hours
While a barrier is being addressed, intendle will make a reasonable effort to provide the requested information or task through an accessible alternative where practicable and lawful. An alternative must not require the user to surrender a mandatory right or accept materially worse commercial terms.
9. Remediation Process
A reported barrier should be logged, prioritized by severity and affected task, assigned, tested after correction, and closed with evidence. Priority should be given to barriers affecting:
- account creation and authentication;
- privacy and cookie choices;
- verification;
- Seller agreement acceptance and cancellation;
- checkout and payment;
- digital delivery;
- returns, disputes, and appeals; and
- access to legal documents and support.
10. Compatibility
The current and previous versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and mobile devices.
Use of an unsupported or obsolete browser may create limitations, but intendle should not use that fact to avoid correcting a barrier in a reasonably current and widely used environment.
11. Formal Complaints
A user who believes an accessibility report was not handled appropriately may write to legal@intendle.com with the original report date and relevant correspondence. This internal route does not limit any right to contact a government agency or pursue another remedy available by law.
12. Assessment and Updates
intendle will review this Statement after material design changes and following accessibility audits. Each version will show a version number and Last Updated date.
