Cookie Policy

Version 0.1 · effective August 8, 2026

Key Disclosures

  1. intendle does not use third-party advertising cookies.
  2. Strictly necessary cookies may operate without optional consent where permitted by law because they support security, authentication, checkout, and core account functions.
  3. Optional cookies stay off until the visitor switches them on in the cookie choices.
  4. The cookies intendle uses, with their purpose and lifetime, are listed in Section 5.

1. Scope and Operator

This Cookie Policy explains how intendle uses cookies and similar browser technologies on intendle.com, including account, publishing, verification, Books, Marketplace, checkout, and support features. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy.

The Services are operated by intendle ("intendle," "we," "us," or "our"). The operator's registered legal details are available on request via legal@intendle.com.

2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

A cookie is a small text record that a website asks a browser to store. Cookies can remember a session, preserve a security choice, maintain a shopping cart, or record a consent preference. intendle may also use functionally similar technologies, such as local storage, session storage, or server-generated identifiers, where they serve the same purpose.

This Policy uses “cookies” as a collective term unless a distinction is necessary.

intendle applies the following principles:

  • use only technologies that have a defined operational purpose;
  • minimize the information stored in the browser;
  • do not place third-party advertising cookies;
  • do not use cookie data to sell personal information or build third-party advertising profiles;
  • do not activate non-essential cookies before legally valid consent where consent is required;
  • provide a genuine Reject all option that is as easy to use as acceptance; and
  • store the visitor's choice so that it is respected on every visit.

4. Categories of Cookies

4.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies support functions that a visitor or user has requested or that are required to keep the Services secure. They are used for:

  • account-session continuity;
  • sign-in and authentication state;
  • two-factor authentication or passkey flow state;
  • security, fraud-prevention, and abuse-prevention controls; and
  • storage of the visitor's cookie-consent choice.

These cookies are not used for advertising. Disabling them through browser controls may prevent sign-in, checkout, publishing, security checks, or other requested functions from working.

4.2 Preference Cookies

Preference cookies remember optional interface choices, such as the unit for artwork sizes in the Marketplace. They are not necessary for the basic service and are set only after the visitor switches on Personalization in the cookie choices.

4.3 Analytics and Measurement

intendle uses an analytics provider (Google) to count visits and pages read, only after the visitor switches on Statistics in the cookie choices. Without that choice no analytics cookie is set. Server-side operational logs may record IP address, device and browser information, requested pages, timestamps, and referrer information as described in the Privacy Policy; those logs are not themselves browser cookies.

4.4 Advertising Cookies

intendle does not use third-party advertising cookies. intendle does not permit an advertising network to place cookies for cross-site behavioral advertising through the Services. The Marketing choice is stored for the visitor, but no advertising cookie is set.

Payments and payouts are processed through Stripe. Stripe's hosted checkout and account pages may use cookies or similar technologies for payment security, fraud prevention, authentication, and payment processing.

Stripe's own privacy and cookie information applies to technologies controlled by Stripe. intendle does not use Stripe payment technologies as advertising trackers.

The cookie choices offer equally accessible controls to:

  • Accept all optional cookies;
  • Reject all optional cookies; and
  • choose by category: Statistics, Marketing, and Personalization.

Strictly necessary technologies remain available because they support a requested service or secure operation. Optional categories remain off until consent. Closing the choices, scrolling, continuing to browse, or inactivity does not constitute consent.

A visitor may withdraw or change consent at any time through the Cookie preferences control in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as granting it. Withdrawal does not make prior lawful processing unlawful, but it prevents future activation of the withdrawn optional category.

The visitor's choice is stored in the at_consent cookie in the visitor's browser for 365 days. intendle does not keep a separate record of cookie choices on its servers.

8. Browser and Device Controls

Most browsers allow a user to delete stored cookies, block future cookies, or receive a warning before storage. Browser controls differ by product and device. Blocking all cookies may prevent secure account, cart, checkout, and preference functions from operating.

A browser-level deletion may remove the stored consent choice. If that happens, intendle may need to ask for the choice again.

9. Global Privacy Signals and Do Not Track

intendle does not use third-party behavioral advertising cookies. Optional cookies stay off until the visitor switches them on, whether or not the browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal.

10. Changes to This Policy

intendle may update this Policy when the website, providers, legal requirements, or cookie inventory changes. A material change that introduces a new optional purpose requires an updated consent interface and, where required, renewed consent before the new technology is activated.

Each version will display a version number and Last Updated date.
