The Carrières des Lumières, a former limestone quarry in Les Baux-de-Provence in the south of France, presents a new immersive program from October 9 to December 18, 2026.
The main show is devoted to Henri Matisse. Over about 45 minutes, projections across the quarry's high stone walls follow the colors of his work and connect them with moments of his life. A shorter program on the paintings of Frida Kahlo follows.
It replaces the Picasso and Frida Kahlo program, which closed on October 8.
