Rembrandt's etchings arrive in Naples, Florida
Rembrandt, Self-Portrait, public domainAn exhibition devoted to the prints of the Dutch master.
The Naples Art Institute in Naples, Florida, opens an exhibition devoted to the prints of Rembrandt van Rijn on October 10, 2026. It runs until January 24, 2027.
Rembrandt, who lived from 1606 to 1669, is counted among the greatest printmakers in history. In etching he found a medium as free as drawing: he worked directly on the copper plate, reworked it through several states and used ink and wiping to change the mood of each impression. His prints range from self-portraits and biblical scenes to landscapes and everyday life in Amsterdam.
